Bringing Hawaii to Vinton
Windsor Manor will be hosting a Hawaiian Luau that is open to thepublic on Monday afternoon, August 9th from 2-4pm. There will be live music and tropical refreshments!

Windsor Manor on the Move to end Alzheimer's
We’re on the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s. Windsor Manor will again have a team walking in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk being held on Saturday, September 18 at Noelridge Park, Cedar Rapids. This walk is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support - and it calls on people of all ages to take action in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Ice Cream Social This weekend
This Sunday, August 1, from 2-5 p.m. hop in the car and head over to the Lutheran Home for their ice cream social.
There will be fun, entertainment, fun, homemade pies, fun, a bake sale, fun, country store, fun, grab bags, fun, games and donation drawings...and did I mention it's fun?
Help them raise some money for a new medication cart and table linens.
Team Vinton looking for more teammates
Registration is being taken to enter the "Especiall For You" Breast Cancer Walk will be held in Cedar Rapids on October 10.

Eden Township Picnic this coming week
The Eden Township picnic is going to be held in the round shelter house at Riverside Park. The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. on August 5th for a social time. Supper will begin at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to bring a dish to share and table service. Eden Aid will be providing beverages.

Caregiver Education Sessions offered through Heritage Agency
The Heritage Agency is offering free education sessions for senior caregivers. The first hour long session will be held on Wednesday, September 1 at 3:30 p.m. in the Heritage Agency conference room on the Kirkwood Community College campus.
The featured speaker is Kathi Moss, of Horizons Financial Counseling. Moss will present an instructional program on creating and managing a budget.
Blessed Hope to hold outdoor singing in the park
Blessed Hope Church of 1509 M Ave. in Vinton, will host an evening of praise and worship at the Riverside Park in Vinton.
Joining Blessed Hope will be a group from Oak Grove Christian Church as well as other.
The evening will begin at 6:00 on Sunday, July 25th! Bring a blanket or lawn chair and join us!
